ONS Revised Mid-year Population Estimates

The ONS has released its revised mid-2012 to mid-2016 population estimates for England and Wales.

These changes only affect the sub-national estimates; the national-level estimates remain unchanged.

The revised figures roll forward the 2011 Census, with new estimates of local authority international emigration and foreign armed forces dependents.

Of the 348 local authorities in England and Wales, only 28 have had their mid-2016 population estimate revised by 1% or more.
